Bridge Alfa

Bridge Alfa Program (Measure 1.3: R+D activity financed with capital funds participation
Sub-measure 1.3.1: Support for R+D projects at the ‘pre-seed’ stage by proof of concept funds – BRIdge Alfa) implemented by the National Centre for Research and Development  (NCBR) is aimed at supporting commercialisation of scientific research results or development work results and other forms of their transfer into the economy, and stimulating entrepreneurs’ investment in research and development.

The assumption of the program is to increase the supply of commercially potential projects through the involvement of business partners (investors) at the early stages of R+D work carried out by technical universities, enterprises, research institutes and individual researchers.
Under an agreement concluded with the NCBR, Technology Accelerator Gliwice Ltd. provides co-financing of R+D projects in the early stages of development (Proof of Principle and Proof of Concept) through analytical support in respect of the adopted technical assumptions (technological feasibility studies, prototype construction), economic assumptions (market research and marketing analyses) as well as legal assumptions (including patent and intellectual property rights analyses). After a project’s assumptions have been verified positively, the Fund takes up shares in the spin-off.

The value of the project we implement is PLN 30 million, and the European Funds contribution constitutes 80% of this amount, i.e. PLN 24 million.
